Public Hearings

Public Hearings are open to the public. They are held during a Regular Meeting of Council.  Council Meeting Agendas are published five (5) days prior to the meeting, and are available online, or can be viewed in the Town Office.

Any comments provided will become a part of the public record in accordance with section 40(1) of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection Privacy (FOIP) Act. Any personal information on submissions made regarding the application is collected under the FOIP Act section 33(c) and subsequent versions of the Act.

The decision of Council regarding the approval or refusal of a Land Use Bylaw amendment may not be appealed by anyone.

To learn more about how a Public Hearing works please read the Rules of Procedure for Public Hearings. Written submissions must be received no later than 1:00 pm, seven (7) days prior to the Public Hearing in order to be included in the Council Agenda Package.

** Please be sure to find out how you can participate in events. During the pandemic, many events are held online or provide opportunities to participate other than face-to-face. Please be sure to read about the events or check meeting agendas to learn how you can participate safely, maintaining the required physical distance and gathering restrictions regulations.
