Regional Bus Service

  • On-It  Effective March 1, 2018 Southland Transportation's On It service began providing Black Diamond, Turner Valley and other Foothills communities with Direct to Downtown Calgary commuter service.

Public Bus Service

  • Greyhound bus depot is located in High River (40 km southeast) and does not stop in Black Diamond.

Air Service

  • Calgary International Airport: Approximately an hour away and serviced by both international and domestic airlines.
  • Okotoks Air Ranch: Just 20 minutes from Black Diamond, Transport Canada classifies the Okotoks Air Ranch as a Certified Airport/Register Aerodome.

Highway Access

  • Highway 22
    Runs south from Black Diamond to Highway 3 which leads to the Crowsnest Pass. It also runs west to Turner Valley and carries on north through Bragg Creek to the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1), which is the Calgary-Banff corridor.
  • Highway 7
    Runs east from Black Diamond to Okotoks and also connects with Highway 2, Alberta's principal north-south highway transportation corridor.
