Parents Empowering Parents (PEP)
Professional facilitated support and innovative family recovery programs. Their Family Recovery Group meetings are comprised of an educational component, support and navigation to other resources. The U-Turn group is for youth/young adults at risk and is based on narrative therapy and includes peer support. In addition to innovative programs, PEP also offers a family recovery support line day/evening/weekends which is professionally managed. Part of the PEP mission is to participate in advocacy for change in mental health and addiction.They are currently connecting via virtual meetings and regular updates posted on their website at www.pepsociety.ca.
Sparks, Brownies, Guides, and Pathfinders
Registration available online at Leaders will be at the Joint Registration Night in September at the
Flare N Derek in Turner Valley. Groups meet in the basement of the United Church in Turner Valley on the following evenings:
Sparks (ages 5-6); Brownies (ages 7-8); Guides (ages 9-11); Pathfinders (ages 12-14).

Pool Fee Assistance Program
Low income residents of Black Diamond, Turner Valley, or the surrounding MD may qualify for free pool passes. Limited quantities are available through the Okotoks Family Resource Centre 403-995-2626.
Special Needs Association for Parents and Siblings (SNAPS)
This non-profit organization works to provide respite, support, and information to families who have 1 or more children with special needs. Visit SNAPS for more information or call 403-603-3232.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Foothills
The Boys and Girls Club in Black Diamond is located above the arena on 3 Street SW. It's a great place for kids to hang out with friends and to meet new ones. With pool tables, guitars, a piano and a large TV with blue ray for movies, the club offers plenty of opportunities to have fun. There are also 6 computers for your use, cameras and video cameras for movie making, video games, books, art supplies and games. The arena staff are also willing to set up basketball, tennis and volleyball nets for indoor use over the summer. So come check it out!
Babysitter Training Course
The Babysitting Course covers all areas in babysitting and child safety. Children 11 years and older are eligible to register. Course is open to all age-qualified residents of Black Diamond, Turner Valley and Foothills County including Longview.
