Business Development

Business License Application  please ensure that you have applied for and received the proper development approval (development permit, change of use or home occupation) if you are locating your business within the Town of Black Diamond.

       If you are interested in setting up a new business in the Town of Black Diamond, follow
       the BizPal link, where you will be assisted in determining all of the required permits to do so.

 Development and Building

Development Permit Application  for use when building a new structure, for commercial or residential uses, exterior renovations (garages, etc.)

Building Permit Application  please note that most (but not all) building permits require a development approval prior to issuing a building permit.  Please call the Town Office if you are unsure of the requirements to receive a building permit for your specific circumstances.

Electric, Gas & Plumbing Inspections

The Town of Black Diamond has contracted the services of Davis Inspection Agency Ltd. (Calgary) to perform the permitting/inspection duties for the Town of Black Diamond.  Please see below for the required forms and permit fee schedules.  Forms and Fee Schedules may be subject to change, however, we make every attempt to maintain current and accurate information regarding permits and their corresponding fees.  Please note that the Town of Black Diamond does not accept payment by credit card at this time.
