What we've done...

The following are just a few examples:

Downtown Business Directory Billboard Project: Three full-sized billboards were installed at two main street parking lots and at the in-town campground to:
          a. enhance our Historic Alberta Main Street,
          b. provide promotion and signage opportunities for our vibrant business community within our historic downtown boundary, and
          c. to provide a service to visitors and residents.

CoolLittleTowns.com Project: A partnership project including Travel Alberta (TDR Funding Program) and the partner municipalities of Black Diamond, High River, Nanton, Turner Valley and Longview. This project features a tourism website designed to appeal to day-trippers looking for things to do in small and charming Alberta Foothills communities.

Diamond Valley Chamber of Commerce Visitor Information Centre (VIC) Project: A project headed by the Chamber and supported by the Towns of Black Diamond and Turner Valley. The VIC was established in 2010 on Main Street in Turner Valley to greet and direct visitors as well as providing Chamber business members with an outlet to promote themselves.

RISE Project: As part of a business development initiative of the Alberta Foothills Region, Black Diamond partnered with the M.D. of Foothills, Turner Valley, Okotoks and High River to maintain an on-line resource to promote the attraction of commercial and industrial investment to the Foothills Region. Stats, figures and valuable information required to make an educated decision around starting up a business in the area can be found in this guide. The website also provides access to a downloadable Investment and Business Site Selection Guide.

The Diamond Valley Region publication: This marketing initiative profiles tourism, lifestyle and business within the Diamond Valley Region, featuring the communities of Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Longview and Millarville, as well as the surrounding area within the M.D. of Foothills and Kananaskis Country.
