If an emergency arises, a link will be placed here to keep residents updated as news becomes available.
To report any EMERGENCIES, please call 9-1-1.
If you need to report any non-emergency issues, you can call the Town Office at 403-933-4348. Please leave your message with the receptionist (ext. 200) if you cannot get through to a person directly when you call. If you are calling to report a Public Works emergency, call 403-650-8914.
The Town Office serves as Black Diamond's Emergency Operation Centre ("EOC") when circumstances arise. This means that Emergency Staff will be working out of the Town Office as required during floods or other emergency events.
If there is a need to open an Emergency Reception Centre at any time, the details will be included in the update here at the top of this page, as well as sent out via all necessary methods of communication. During an emergency, please tune your radio to 100.9fm, and check this webpage regularly for updates.
If necessary, information would also be placed on the Alberta Emergency Alert website. Residents can sign up on that page to receive updates on their mobile devices via Facebook, Twitter or RSS Feed. All Emergency Alerts will appear on the Emergency Alert website, and any updates to them. The local news/radio stations may report on the alerts and their updates. You may hear an emergency broadcast, interrupting regular programming, depending on the nature of the alert.
Please visit the Are You Prepared? page on the Town's website to ensure you are prepared for emergencies.
