The Towns of Black Diamond and Turner Valley offer a dynamic and diverse business sector with strength in agriculture/agri-foods, tourism, light industry, home-based businesses, arts and value-added products.
The Intermunicipal Economic Development Strategy has been under development since 2019 with the aim to advance innovative strategies that stimulate shared growth and prosperity for our communities.

The Intermunicipal Economic Development Committee (IEDC) – Encouraging the business sector to thrive in Black Diamond and Turner Valley. The IEDC includes members of both councils as well as members-at-large representing the business community of both municipalities.
Diamond Valley Chamber of Commerce
Promoting and improving trade and commerce as well as the economic, civic and social welfare of the district served by the organization. Serving Turner Valley, Black Diamond, Longview, Millarville and surrounding areas.

A non-profit community-owned organization fostering active community partnerships, and delivering comprehensive business services and programs resulting in economically diverse and viable shareholder communities.
